Brief introduction to Books of Punjab Civil Service Rules

1. Punjab Civil Service Rules (Volume I Part I) consists of rules regarding appointment to Government Service, Fixation of Pay, Compensatory allowance, Deputation out of India, Suspension, Dismissal, Removal, Leave Account, Joining Time, Foreign Service & Deputation in India, Service under Local Funds, Record of Service (Service Book). Moreover, it also consists of list of authorities which excising the powers of competent authorities under the various rules. It books is also called Main Rules. 

2. Punjab Civil Service Rules (Volume I Part II) consists of rules regarding  Rent free quarters, fees received by Government medical officers from private persons, fees to expert witnesses summoned in criminal courts, instructions regulating patenting of inventions made by Government employees, Leave procedure and Maintenance of Service record, Casual and Quarantine leave, List of Government employees serving in Vacation Department, Study leave rules, Premature retirement rules and Conduct Rules.
